SOCIAL DISTANCING LEVEL 2 FOR THE GREATER SEOUL AREA Effective 0:00 of August 19, 2020 For Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi LARGE GATHERINGS Indoor gathering of 50 people or more are prohibited Outdoor gathering of 100 people or more are prohibited HIGH-RISK FACILITIES PUBLIC SECTOR Indoor national or public facilities are required to suspend operation PRIVATE SECTOR 12 types of high-risk facilities are required to suspend operation *Nightlife entertainment venues (nightclubs, room salons, etc.), colatheque, karaoke bars, retro pubs, hunting pocha, singing rooms, indoor standing concert halls, indoor group exercise facilities, direct/door-to-door sales business promotion halls, private academies (300 people or more), buffets, PC cafes Designated 12 types of publicly used facilities with higher risk must follow implement infection prevention guidelines to operate *Private academies, arcades, restaurants, water parks, religious facilities, indoor wedding halls, movie theaters, public baths, sauna, indoor gyms, multi-rooms, DVD rooms **More may be added by local municipal government Social welfare facilities and preschool/daycare facilities are recommended to close temporarily *Essential services such as emergency childcare are allowed PROFESSIONAL SPORTS Crowd or audience are not allowed at sporting events SCHOOLS Schools in district or city affected by ongoing cluster outbreaks are equired to switch to distance learning Schools in other areas to reduce in-person class size to 1/3 of current level (2/3 for high schools) WORKPLACES PUBLIC SECTOR Public institutions are required to reduce on-site personnel (e.g. to 1/2 of usual) through flexible work hours or work-from-home options PRIVATE SECTOR Private employers are recommended to implement measures to reduce on-site personnel to similar level RELIGIOUS FACILITIES Churches in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon are allowed non-face-to-face services only In-person gatherings, events, or meals are not allowed
