Updates on COVID-19 in Republic of Korea

□ As of 0:00, 19 July 2020, the total number of confirmed cases is 13,745 (including 2,045 imported cases), of which 12,556 cases have been discharged from isolation. There are 21 new local cases, 13 new imported cases, and 1 new death.

□ The current state* of major local clusters as of today (as of 12:00, 19 July) are as follows:
* The specific figures below may differ from the daily reported statistics (which are based on figures as of 0:00 today) or figures disclosed by local municipalities due to factors such as report timing and differences in the time period considered
○ Related to an office in Gwanak-gu, Seoul City, 13 additional cases (Seoul 2, Gwangju 11) were confirmed. In total, 32* cases have been confirmed.
* Seoul = 12 cases, Gyeonggi = 3 cases, Jeonbuk = 2 cases, Jeju = 4 cases, Gwangju = 11 cases(relatives and etc)
○ Related to Hanhwa life insurance company, 2 additional cases were confirmed. In total, 13* cases have been confirmed.
* Employees = 8, acquaintances = 2, family = 3
○ Related to the second grader at Sung-su highschool, there has been no confirmed cases amongst contacts within the school, and 1 family member who is living together has been confirmed.
○ Related to the family in Seo-gu, Daejeon City, 1* additional case was confirmed. In total, 8* cases have been confirmed.
* index case = 1 case, family members of the index case = 3, contacts from visited clinic = 3, acquaintance = 1
□ As of 0:00, 19 July, there were 13 imported cases, of which, 7 were confirmed at the point of entry, and 6 were confirmed in the community while in mandatory self-quarantine after arrival.
○ The (presumed) location of infection acquisition of the 13 new imported cases are: Americas (4) (US 4), Europe (1) (Germany 1), and Asia excluding China (8) (Japan 1; Kazakhstan 1; Qatar 1; Philippines 5).
