KDCA unveils Policy Plan 2024:
Prioritizing “Agile Response to Emerging Public Health Emergencies and Protecting People from Health Risks”
Osong, 1st of April 2024 - The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) announced its Policy Plan 2024 on February 19, aiming for “Agile Response to Emerging Public Health Emergencies and Protecting People from Health Risks.”
The first significant announcement, following the downgrade of the COVID-19 alert level from 'Serious' to 'Warning', underscores the KDCA’s commitment to becoming a leader in health security and ultimately achieving a healthy society.
Commissioner Jee, in highlighting the plan’s objectives, emphasized, "The KDCA will promptly and comprehensively address future health emergencies while ensuring strong protection of public health against daily risks. We will prioritize and implement nine key tasks for 2024 in alignment with this Policy Plan.”
