Trends in prevalence of chronic kidney disease (moderate or severe) among Korean adults, 2008-2017

[정의] Chronic kidney disease (moderate or severe): MDRD-GFR (glomerular filtration rate) ＜ 60 mL/min/1.73 m2, among those aged 30 years and over

만30세 이상 중등도 이상의 만성콩팥병 유병률(연령표준화)은 2008년 3.8%, 2017년 3.0%로 10년 동안 큰 변화가 없었으며, 2017년 기준으로 남자 유병률(3.4%)이 여자 유병률(2.6%) 보다 1.3배 높았음(그림 A)

The age-standardized prevalence of Korean adults with moderate or severe chronic kidney disease, aged 30 years and over, was 3.8% in 2008 and 3.0% in 2017, indicating that it remained almost unchanged for the past 10 years. Based on the 2017 data, the prevalence among men (3.4%) was 1.3 fold higher than 2.6% among women (Figure A).
