COVID-19 Vaccination Guideline for Foreigners staying in the Republic of Korea COVID-19 vaccination is a powerful tool for preventing severe disease and deaths. Please get vaccinated for your health and the health of your family! Eligibility Children (aged 5-11): 2-dose primary series Teens (aged 12-17): : 2-dose primary series, 1st booster Adults (over 18): 2-dose primary series, 1st booster, 2nd booster* * Eligibility for 2nd booster: Among adults aged 50 and older who completed their 1st booster, those who have a weakened immune system or underlying diseases, or stay, work, or are hospitalized in a high-risk facility Dosing Interval Between 1st and 2nd dose - Pfizer (for children aged 5-11), Pfizer and Moderna: 8 weeks - Novavax: 3 weeks 1st booster: 3 months after the final dose (2nd dose) in the primary series * Janssen: 2 months after the primary dose (1st dose) of Janssen vaccine 2nd booster: 4 months after the 1st booster * Janssen: 4 months after the 1st booster Vaccine Type Children aged 5-11: Pfizer (1/3 the volume of active ingredients in the adult vaccine) Teens aged 12-17: Pfizer Those aged 18 and older: Pfizer, Moderna, Janssen or Novavax * Moderna vaccines recommended for those over 30** Janssen vaccines considered only in exceptional situations Vaccination Appointment Registered foreigners: Online, phone or same-day appointments available Unregistered foreigners: A phone appointment or by visiting a vaccination site with a temporary management number received from a public health center Foreigners who completed their primary series outside of Korea: Make an appointment after registering an international vaccination record at a public health center ※ Note ○ To ensure the safety of vaccination and monitor adverse reactions, a parent or legal guardian must accompany their children when they get vaccinated. ○ Online appointment portal: Visit https://ncvr.kdca.go.kr ○ Phone appointment: Contact KDCA call center (☎1339) or the local government’s call center ○ Same-day appointment: Call a medical facility to confirm vaccine availability
