Considerations for Designation
- Level of medical resource distribution
- Population and living area scope
- Frequency of infectious disease outbreaks and management level
- Proximity to ports and airports
- Other factors deemed necessary by the Director of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency
Bed Capacity
- Must have at least 36 beds.
- Relevant legal basis: Article 5-3 of the Enforcement Rules of the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.
