- The number of medical radiation examinations in Korea increased approximately 2.5-fold, from 160 million in 2007 to 390 million in 2023.
- The per capita radiation exposure dose from medical radiation increased approximately 3.4-fold, from 0.93 mSv in 2007 to 3.13 mSv in 2023.
- The number of diagnostic radiation-generating devices installed in domestic medical institutions is also on an increasing trend, with a total of 107,912 units in operation as of 2024.
