Infectious Disease Control Committee
The Infectious Disease Control Committee is a committee established under Article 9 of the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act to deliberate on major policies related to the prevention and control of infectious diseases.

- Establishment of the master plan
- Medical provision related to infectious diseases
- Investigation and research on infectious diseases
- Dissemination of knowledge on the prevention and control of infectious diseases and promotion of the rights of patients with infectious diseases
- Matters related to the autopsy order
- Matters concerning the standards and methods for administering vaccinations
- Matters related to the prior stockpiling and long-term purchasing of pharmaceuticals used for mandatory vaccinations and temporary vaccinations (hereinafter referred to as “mandatory vaccination drugs, etc.”)
- Determination of distribution criteria, such as the priority for supplying mandatory vaccination drugs, etc., and other necessary matters
- Establishment and implementation of infectious disease crisis control measures
- Matters related to the prior stockpiling, long-term purchasing, and production of preventive and therapeutic medical and quarantine supplies
- Determination of distribution criteria, such as the priority for supplying medical and quarantine supplies (limited to pharmaceuticals under the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act), as well as other necessary matters
- Matters related to contracts necessary for the purchase and supply of vaccines or pharmaceuticals under development
- Matters related to national compensation for damages caused by vaccinations
- Matters related to the management measures for resistant bacteria Other matters concerning the prevention and control of infectious diseases that the chairperson submits to the committee’s meeting
