GOARN

Three Korean institutions participated in GOARN as its partner organizations: KDCA, the National Medical Center, and the JW LEE Center for Global Medicine at Seoul National University. KDCA has expanded its activities by hosting Tier 1.5 training in 2024 and attending the Western Pacific Regional GOARN meeting.

The WHO GOARN Tier 1.5 training equipped potential GOARN- deployed staff with essential knowledge and skills necessary for enhancing core competencies. Through discussions and presentations, participants deepened their understanding of appropriate public health measures in international outbreak settings.

GHSCO attended the WHO WPRO GOARN meeting in December 2024 to promote GOARN initiatives, expand regional networks, strengthen GOARN activities in the international community, and explore ways to support ASEAN member states
