Infectious Disease Training for All Public Officials
- To respond systematically and effectively during infectious disease crises, mandatory infectious disease training for central and local government officials and employees has been introduced and implemented starting in 2024.
- Heads of each institution shall conduct training on the prevention, management, and crisis response of infectious diseases at least once a year and submit the results to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
- The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency has developed and is operating two courses for support of mandatory infectious disease training: a basic course (1 hour) and an advanced course (3 hours) for staff at health centers and epidemiological investigation team members.
